Participants will be provided with a foundational understanding of trauma and its impacts on students, including understanding the importance of considering how dysregulated students process information and respond to stressors. The function of students' behaviors will be discussed using a trauma informed lens. Participants will be introduced to a practice guide and self-reflection tool to understand how trauma sensitive classrooms can be established to reduce retraumatization for all students.
