Breakout Session 1 (9:15)

Dining Room (EDR)

Interpreting “Behaviors” Utilizing Trauma-Reducing Formulations and Frameworks

This session will provide participants with a review of core principles  for adults to embrace across multiple frameworks and formulations focused on reducing trauma and increasing connection. A particular emphasis will be placed on providing foundational knowledge about the basics of brain development, the neurobiology of stress, and how this manifests for youth in the school setting. Session participants will be guided through 2-3 different cases where they will have an opportunity to apply the aforementioned frameworks and formulations so as to reconceptualize and address behavior.
